Choice Teachers are working with a number of reputable schools in Harpenden who are looking for passionate supply teachers who want to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
Requirements:
- In-date DBS or willingness to apply for one when required.
- minimum 2x references
Desired qualifications:
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills)
- Full clean driving lisence

Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in line with the provided curriculum.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour to foster a positive learning environment.
- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop educational materials and programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and concerns.
- Stay current with teaching methodologies and educational trends.
- Complete administrative tasks such as lesson planning, resource preparation, and report writing.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Flexibility in adapting teaching methods for different learners
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources
Working Conditions:
- Flexible part-time and full-time hours
- Classroom-based role

To be considered you must have:
- DBS Certificate on the update service or be able to apply for one
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK.
