Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will be working alongside experienced teachers and SENCOs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including those with SEND, ADHD, ASD, and other learning difficulties
  • Assist in the delivery of individualised learning plans and interventions
  • Support pupils with personal care needs where required
  • Help create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and parents
  • Support pupils with social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond to individual pupil needs
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
