Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Assist students with classroom activities, sensory stimulation, and personal care as required.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform ongoing support and intervention strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, either in a school setting or a similar environment.
  • Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to support the educational and emotional needs of students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) to ensure suitability for working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
