SEN Teacher (SEMH) – St Albans

Choice Teachers are currently working with a specialist SEMH school in St Albans to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to start as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
The Role:

Teaching small classes of pupils with SEMH needs
-
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
-
Creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
-
Managing behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
-
Working closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
-
Supporting pupils’ academic progress, emotional regulation and personal development
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS / QTLS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
-
Have experience working with SEN, particularly SEMH (desirable but not essential)

Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

Be patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference

Be able to start ASAP
