We are recruiting on behalf of a warm, nurturing, and inclusive primary school in Leighton Buzzard for a permanent SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is ideal for a passionate, empathetic, and experienced teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping every child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated, creative, and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEND

Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals to implement and review EHCPs and personalised learning plans

Assess and track pupil progress using a range of methods, adapting strategies accordingly
-
Create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment that enables all learners to thrive
-
Establish strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to support

Promote independence, confidence, and well-being among pupils with complex needs
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Experience teaching children with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD)

Strong understanding of inclusive education and adaptive teaching strategies

Patience, resilience, and a nurturing teaching style

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
