Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are recruiting on behalf of a warm, nurturing, and inclusive primary school in Leighton Buzzard for a permanent SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is ideal for a passionate, empathetic, and experienced teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping every child reach their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated, creative, and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEND

  • Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals to implement and review EHCPs and personalised learning plans

  • Assess and track pupil progress using a range of methods, adapting strategies accordingly

  • Create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment that enables all learners to thrive

  • Establish strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to support

  • Promote independence, confidence, and well-being among pupils with complex needs


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • Experience teaching children with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD)

  • Strong understanding of inclusive education and adaptive teaching strategies

  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing teaching style

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
