Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons in accordance with the Key Stage 3 and 4 National Curriculum.

Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and independent thinking.

Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and achievement.

Maintain accurate records of student performance, behaviour, and attendance.

Encourage student participation in extracurricular science activities, such as clubs, competitions, and educational trips.

Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support overall school development and student success.

Stay updated with advancements in science education, integrating new technologies and strategies into teaching practises.
Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (essential).

PGCE with QTS or QTLS (essential).

Previous experience teaching Science at the secondary school level in the UK.

Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching.
