An independent and nurturing preschool near Belsize Park is seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the teaching team to support the educational and developmental needs of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities that cater to the individual needs of children.
- Assisting in the assessment and observation of children’s progress and development.
- Encouraging positive behavior and promoting a safe, nurturing environment.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Helping to create a stimulating and enriching environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Supporting children with their personal care needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification or higher in Childcare (essential).
- Experience working with children in an EYFS setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
