Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and creative Year 2 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum

Assess and monitor pupils’ progress towards Key Stage 1 outcomes, providing timely interventions

Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence

Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour
-
Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment and moderation
-
Establish strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers
-
Engage in wider school activities, events and trips
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs and experienced teachers welcome

Recent experience or sound understanding of Year 2 and Key Stage 1 curriculum

Familiarity with Phonics (preferably Little Wandle or similar schemes)

Strong classroom management and organisational skills
-
A nurturing approach, with a passion for inclusion and progress for all learners

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
