Job Title: Nursery Nurse – Hitchin
Location: East of England, Hertfordshire, Hitchin

Choice Teachers are working with a local Nursery who are recruiting a Nursery Nurse. The Nursery is set in a beautiful converted Victorian building, with spacious interiors and adaptable play areas. Activities are designed by highly trained practitioners in line with EYFS principles. Strong parent partnerships are promoted within the nursery with parent partnership meetings and a fully inclusive package as part of the service. They have also achieved an Eco-Schools Green Flag award by implementing ‘Green initiatives’ within the nursery.
Job Duties:
- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement activities in line with EYFS principles
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to the overall development and well-being of the children
- Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- CACHE Level 2 and CACHE Level 3 qualifications
Education:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting
- Demonstrated understanding of EYFS principles
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
- Punctual and reliable
- Inspirational and able to motivate children
- Initiative to take on tasks independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Safeguarding training
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
Working Conditions:
- Full-time hours on a contract basis
