Choice Teachers are working with a nursery in Bedford who are looking for a Nursery Nurse. The Nursery has a warm and welcoming environment that ensures every child’s individual needs are prioritised and their interests nurtured.
A child’s days are full of activities designed in line with EYFS principles and implemented by highly trained and knowledgeable staff. All children have daily access to a garden, and the nursery fully recognises the impact that being outdoors has on a child’s social, emotional, and physical development.
The nursery is proud to have achieved an Eco-Schools Green Flag award and has its own Eco-Committee of practitioners and children who organise ‘Green Initiatives’ within the nursery.
Whether it’s experiencing their sensory garden or building imaginations in their mud kitchen, there is always something inspiring happening.
Job Duties:
- Implementing activities in line with EYFS principles
- Ensuring the individual needs of each child are met
- Providing a warm and welcoming environment for children
- Organising and participating in ‘Green Initiatives’ within the nursery
- Engaging children in outdoor activities to support their development
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- CACHE Level 2 qualification
- CACHE Level 3 qualification
Education:
Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Experience:
Experience working in a nursery setting preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to work well in a team
- Initiative and creativity in planning activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Food Hygiene certification
