We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Luton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach across KS3 and take on a leadership position as Head of Department or Second in Charge, initially on a temporary basis with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons across KS3

Support and lead curriculum development within the department

Assist or lead as Head of Department / Second in Charge, supporting staff and driving department initiatives

Prepare students for performances, assessments, and external qualifications

Contribute to extracurricular music activities and events

Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential

Experience teaching Music across KS3 (experience with GCSE/A Level is advantageous)

Leadership experience or aspiration within a music department

Passionate about inspiring and challenging students

Ability to foster a creative, inclusive, and motivating learning environment

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
