Choice Teachers are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Further Education College in Hackney who are seeking a passionate and experienced Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join their Engineering & Transport team.

You’ll play a vital role in training the next generation of automotive technicians – from traditional mechanics to specialists in electric and hybrid vehicles.
About the Role

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair programmes (Levels 1-3).

Support learners in developing technical, diagnostic, and employability skills aligned with industry standards.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and evolving technologies such as EV and hybrid.

Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department.

Guide, motivate, and assess students to help them achieve their individual learning goals.
The Ideal Candidate Will

Hold (or be willing to work towards) a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or Level 5 Diploma).

Possess a Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Motor Vehicle, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.

Have relevant workshop or lecturing experience in the motor trade.

Demonstrate strong practical knowledge, communication, and classroom management skills.

Be enthusiastic about inspiring learners from diverse backgrounds to progress into apprenticeships or employment.
