Job Duties:

The Maths and Economics Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Maths and Economics to students.
  • Creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assessing and evaluating students’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of their achievements.
  • Supporting and guiding students in their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Participating in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.


  • A valid teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
  • Specialisation in Maths and Economics.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths and Economics at the applicable level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in their learning.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Maths, Economics, or a related field.


At least 3 years of experience teaching Maths and Economics in a school setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Maths and Economics concepts and theories.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective classroom management abilities.

Working Conditions:

The Maths and Economics Teacher will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The role involves regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. The teacher may need to attend meetings, training sessions, and school events outside of regular school hours.
