Level 2 Maintenance Operations Lecturer – Hemel Hempstead
College Position – January Start
£150–£250 per day (DOE)
Choice Teachers are supporting a college in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a committed and skilled Level 2 Maintenance Operations Lecturer to join their vocational team.
About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic lecturer with strong industry knowledge to deliver engaging and practical sessions in Maintenance Operations at Level 2. You will be supporting learners as they develop the skills required for building maintenance, repairs, and multi-trade tasks, helping them progress into apprenticeships or employment.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and practical workshops in L2 Maintenance Ops

Plan, prepare, and assess learner work to meet awarding body standards

Support and motivate learners with varying abilities and needs

Track student progress and maintain accurate records

Promote safe working practices within workshops

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the construction and vocational department
Requirements:
-
Industry experience in Maintenance Operations / Multi-trades
-
Previous FE teaching or training experience preferred

Teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, QTLS) – advantageous but not essential

Strong communication and behaviour management skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
