About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Construction Multi-skills to join the team and deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students. This temporary role is to cover long-term sickness and offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of learners in the construction field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspirational teaching across a range of construction-related programmes, including Brickwork and Multi-skills.
- Prepare and maintain teaching materials, schemes of work, and assessment resources.
- Act as a course tutor, supporting students in achieving their academic and personal targets.
- Track and review student progress, providing regular feedback to learners and other stakeholders.
- Participate in recruitment activities, including promotional events and admissions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to health and safety and safeguarding policies.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Level 3 vocational qualification in the Construction industry (Bricklaying qualification desirable).
- GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Substantial, recent industrial experience in Construction Maintenance.
- Current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the construction industry.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable Attributes:
- Certificate in Education, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification (support for obtaining these will be provided if required).
- Assessor (A1) or Internal Verifier (V1) qualifications.
- Experience in lecturing, instructing, or training in the construction sector.
Additional Information:
- This position is defined as regulated activity and requires an enhanced DBS check.
- Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required.
- Applicants must be able to travel independently to other locations as needed.
