Learning Support Mentor – College Based in Cambridge

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Pay: £100 per day
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Mentor to join our team at a college based in Cambridge. This is a flexible, temporary position with the potential to become a long-term or permanent role for the right candidate.
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will work with students who have additional learning needs, providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Support learners with SEND or other additional needs across a range of subjects.

Encourage independence, motivation, and confidence in learning.

Collaborate with teaching staff to create inclusive learning environments.

Keep accurate records of student progress and support activities.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people.

Flexible and confident working with students in different subject areas.

Able to build positive relationships with learners and staff.

Experienced in education, learning support, or mentoring (desirable but not essential).
Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) in English and Maths.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
