L1 Construction Lecturer – Hemel Hempstead
College Position – January Start
£150–£250 per day (depending on experience)
Choice Teachers are working with a fantastic college in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking a dedicated Level 1 Construction Lecturer to join their team.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Construction Lecturer to deliver engaging and practical sessions to Level 1 learners. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching across basic construction skills and supporting learners in developing foundational knowledge for progression into further vocational study or apprenticeships.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching to Level 1 Construction students

Plan and prepare lessons and practical workshops

Support learners with varying needs and learning styles

Maintain a positive learning environment with strong behaviour management

Assess and track student progress

Work collaboratively with the wider vocational team
Requirements:

Experience teaching Construction at FE level (L1 preferred)

Relevant vocational qualifications in Construction

Teaching qualification (PGCE, DTLLS, QTLS or equivalent) – desirable but not essential

Strong communication and classroom management skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
