Choice Teachers are a well-established Education agency that have been working closely with schools across the North-west for more than 15 years, we are currently working with a secondary school in Manchester that require a passionate Psychology & Sociology teacher this role could also accommodate someone looking for temporary supply work, until the right candidate can fill the position.
This Role is to start ASAP
The role of a is diverse and challenging but also very rewarding. Please note: This role is specifically for qualified teachers in psychology or sociology. We kindly ask that only applicants with the relevant qualifications apply.
To excel in this role, you should
- Be comfortable in being at the front of the classroom to help alongside practical classes.
- Able to create a positive learning environment has good and strong classroom management.
- Able to provide support to learners, as well as your fellow staff members.
- Setting up equipment prior to lessons to meet staff requirements, in a timely manner.
- Be efficient in constructing and modifying apparatus.
- Be confident in taking an active part in demonstrations.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Be confident and enthusiastic with a passion for education.
- Adaptable, flexible, be able to work at short notice and get to schools quickly
- Be able to manage large groups of students, some of whom may display challenging behaviour
- Be able to work on your own initiative.
Requirements:
Teaching degree is desired. If you have an overseas qualification it must be transferred over to the UK qualifications
DBS Certificate on the update service or be able to obtain one
Two professional references
Right to work in the UK.
