Job Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons for students aged 11-18 (KS3-KS5).
Teach a range of historical topics, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
Encourage student debate, discussion, and independent research.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the humanities curriculum.
Support extracurricular activities such as history clubs, school trips, and themed events.
Requirements:
Degree in History, Humanities, or a related field.
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Qualification (if applicable).
Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting.
Strong communication skills with a passion for inspiring students.
Ability to differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities.
