Health and Social Care Teacher – Secondary School (Stevenage)

Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Stevenage on a permanent basis from September 2026.

This role is suited to a teacher who has proven experience teaching Health and Social Care within a school setting. Applicants with experience limited to FE or college-only settings will not be considered.

The Role:

  • Teaching Health and Social Care across KS4 and KS5 (where applicable)
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned to exam specifications
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
  • Supporting pupils to achieve strong academic and vocational outcomes
  • Contributing to curriculum development within the department

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have recent experience teaching Health and Social Care in a secondary school
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills with school-aged pupils
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding
  • Be organised, enthusiastic, and a positive team player
