Health and Social Care Teacher – Secondary School (Stevenage)

Contract: Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Stevenage on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This role is suited to a teacher who has proven experience teaching Health and Social Care within a school setting. Applicants with experience limited to FE or college-only settings will not be considered.
The Role:
- Teaching Health and Social Care across KS4 and KS5 (where applicable)
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned to exam specifications
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress
- Supporting pupils to achieve strong academic and vocational outcomes
- Contributing to curriculum development within the department
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have recent experience teaching Health and Social Care in a secondary school
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills with school-aged pupils
- Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and safeguarding
- Be organised, enthusiastic, and a positive team player
