Cambridge Regional College is looking for a dedicated Assistant Head of Department to lead and inspire within our Construction & Building Services team, focusing on Multi-Skills and Trowel Trades.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role at a college renowned for its commitment to high-quality education and industry-aligned training.
The Role:
Working across both our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses, you’ll support the Head of Department in delivering high standards of leadership, management, and curriculum innovation. Your guidance will contribute to a positive and impactful learning environment, helping students achieve their full potential.
As a role model for teaching excellence, you will support staff and inspire learners across the following areas:

Construction Multi-Skills

Property Maintenance Operations

Bricklaying
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a committed professional with:

Proven teaching experience within Further Education (FE)

In-depth knowledge of the FE sector and relevant construction industry skills

A strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations within the field

Excellent communication, organisational, and administrative skills

A recognised teaching qualification (DET, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent)
