About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Sheffield area. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery, assessing, and implementation of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and aligned with school objectives.
You will integrate into a close-knit English department known for its collaborative approach, supportive culture, and shared commitment to excellent student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Mark and assess student work in line with school policies

Set high expectations for learning behaviour and achievement

Contribute to department meetings, curriculum development, and collaborative planning

Support pupils through effective differentiation and intervention strategies

Maintain strong safeguarding, classroom management, and pastoral awareness
Key Skills & Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching KS3 & KS4 English

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Ability to plan and assess effectively

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute to departmental success

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Up-to-date safeguarding training
