We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our successful secondary school in Hertford from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a thriving English department in a supportive school environment.
About the Role:
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A-Level
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ skills in reading, writing, and analysis
- Foster a love of literature and language in a stimulating learning environment
- Assess, track, and support student progress to ensure strong academic outcomes
- Contribute to the wider English faculty and participate in extracurricular activities
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS4 required, KS5 desirable)
- A passion for literature, language, and inspiring young minds
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage students of all abilities
- A team player, committed to contributing to the wider school community
