Choice Teacher is working with a local secondary school who are recruiting for an English Teacher. The school is an 11-18 all ability, co-educational school for the community. The school offers a range of excellent facilities and high-quality teaching that provides our students with an outstanding and supportive education from their very first day.

Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and papers
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities and events
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in English or related field
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Overseas comparable Qualification (if applicable)
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
Experience:
Previous teaching experience is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
- Flexible and adaptable teaching approach
- Punctual and reliable
- Inspirational and able to motivate students
- Initiative to create engaging lesson plans
- Passionate about helping students succeed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Additional language proficiency
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a school environment, following the school calendar and schedule. The English Teacher may need to work additional hours for lesson planning and grading outside of regular school hours. The role requires interacting with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis.
