The Role
Choice Teachers is seeking a specialist Electrical Installation Lecturer & Assessor for a prominent Further Education college in Slough.
Unlike a general engineering role, this position is specifically focused on Practical Electrical Installations. We need a dual-threat professional: someone who can deliver the Level 3 curriculum and possesses the vocational qualifications to assess student competence in a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality practical and theoretical training for Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures).

Conduct formal assessments of student portfolios and practical workshop tasks.

Ensure all learners meet the rigorous industry standards required for Gold Card/JIB status.

Provide detailed feedback and track progress to ensure high achievement rates.

Maintain a safe, industry-standard workshop environment.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this specific role, you must possess:

Vocational Qualification: A Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, 2357, or 5357).

Assessing Qualification: A recognised assessor award (e.g., TAQA, CAVA, A1, or D32/33).

Industry Experience: Solid “on-the-tools” experience within the electrical trade.

Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to undergo a new check).
Note: General Electrical Engineering backgrounds without the specific Level 3 Installation and Assessing qualifications cannot be considered for this post.
