Early Years Practitioner – Full Time – Watford
Start Date: September 2025
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing and inclusive early years setting in Watford on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive environment that values child-led learning and fosters positive early development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of children in the early years phase, contributing to a stimulating and caring atmosphere where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of high-quality early years education following the EYFS framework

Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s individual needs
-
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play
-
Contribute to the preparation and organisation of indoor and outdoor learning spaces
-
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times
Requirements
-
Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)

Experience working with children aged 0–5 in an early years setting
-
Sound understanding of the EYFS framework

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Must be 18 years of age or older
