Choice Teachers is a recruitment agency working in partnership with a secondary school in Rawtenstall, and we are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher for a full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. For the right candidate, there is potential for a permanent role.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Delivering engaging and imaginative Drama lessons in line with the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum

Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, confidence and self-expression

Planning and delivering both practical and theory-based lessons
-
Differentiating learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
-
Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback

Supporting school productions, performances and extracurricular Drama activities where required
-
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community
Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject (essential)

PGCE with QTS or QTLS (essential)

Experience teaching Drama in a UK secondary school setting

Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
-
Excellent communication skills and a creative approach to teaching
-
Commitment to professional development and contributing positively to school life
