The Role
Choice Teachers are looking for a creative and dedicated Drama Teacher to join the Performing Arts department. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, bringing energy, confidence and imagination to every lesson.
This role would suit an enthusiastic teacher eager to contribute to a thriving school community and to make a lasting impact through drama and performance.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Drama lessons for students in Years 7–11.

Encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence through classroom and practical activities.

Lead or support school productions, performances and extracurricular drama clubs.

Track, assess and report on student progress, ensuring all learners reach their full potential.

Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom culture.
Requirements
Essential:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4.
-
Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.

A passion for performance, creativity and helping students express themselves.
-
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
-
Experience leading productions or school performances.
-
Knowledge of GCSE Drama curriculum and assessment requirements.

Experience working in an all-girls or similar secondary environment.
