Job Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons for students aged 11-18 (KS3-KS5).
Teach a range of D&T specialisms based on expertise and school needs.
Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning through engaging projects.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the D&T curriculum.
Maintain a safe and well-equipped workshop or classroom environment.
Support extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, competitions, and exhibitions.
Requirements:
Degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Qualification (if applicable).
Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting.
Strong communication skills with a passion for inspiring students.
Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of all abilities.
