Choice Teachers are working closely with a number of secondary schools across Bury to recruit confident and reliable Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher. Your role will include:

Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

Delivering lesson plans and resources provided by teaching staff

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Supporting students to remain focused and on task

Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
What We’re Looking For

Confidence to lead a classroom and manage behaviour effectively
-
Experience working with young people (school, youth work, coaching, care, etc.)

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A flexible, proactive, and professional attitude
-
A genuine interest in working within education
Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – £53.50)

Right to work in the UK
