An exciting opportunity has become available at a local secondary School for an UQT (Unqualified Teacher) position as Teacher of Cover. The role would provide an opportunity to experience a broad range of subjects as a Cover Teacher. This is a great opportunity to get into teaching and become part of a teaching team whilst gaining specialist knowledge and experience.

Job Duties:

• Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Support the learning and development of students across various subjects
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure continuity in learning

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in any discipline
• GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics

Education:

A degree in any discipline is required for this role

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults is advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
• Punctuality and reliability
• Inspirational and able to motivate students
• Initiative and ability to adapt to different situations
• Passionate about education and supporting student learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification

Working Conditions:

This role is based in a secondary school in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. The working hours are full-time during school term times. The role may require occasional flexibility in working hours to accommodate school events or activities.
