About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising whole classes and ensuring students stay focused on their learning.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
- Managing student behaviour in line with school policies.
- Encouraging a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting students to stay on task and complete assigned work.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
- Confidence in managing a classroom and creating a structured learning environment.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain positive student engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the flexibility to work at short notice.
- The ability to work independently and manage large groups, including students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Ideally educated to A-level or degree level.
- Hold a valid DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
- Provide two professional references.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- A good level of spoken English.
- A full ten-year employment history, with explanations for any gaps. (this is really important and we will not be able to accept any CV that doesnt have the history)
