The Role of a Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning in the absence of a class teacher. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Supervising whole classes and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.

Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects.

Managing student behaviour in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.

Encouraging a positive and productive learning environment.

Providing support to learners and ensuring they stay on task.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:

Confidence in managing a classroom setting and ensuring a structured learning environment.

Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive atmosphere.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying abilities.

A proactive and adaptable approach, with the flexibility to work at short notice.

The ability to work independently and manage large groups, including students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Ideally educated to A-level or degree level.
-
Hold a valid DBS Certificate on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Provide two professional references.

Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Good Level of spoken English
