£150–£250 per day (DOE)
Choice Teachers are working with a leading college in Hemel Hempstead who are seeking an experienced and engaging Carpentry Lecturer to join their construction department.
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled carpenter with teaching experience (or a strong desire to move into teaching) to deliver high-quality practical and theory sessions to learners across Carpentry at FE level. You will play a key role in developing students’ confidence, technical ability, and industry readiness.
Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging carpentry lessons and practical workshops

Plan, prepare and assess learner work in line with college and awarding body standards

Support learners of mixed abilities to achieve their qualifications

Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment

Track progress and provide constructive feedback

Work collaboratively within the construction team
Requirements:

Carpentry trade background (qualified and experienced)

FE teaching or training experience preferred
-
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTLS, Cert Ed, DTLLS) – advantageous but not essential

Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
