Business Teacher – Chadderton, Oldham
Choice Teachers is a well-established education agency that has been working closely with schools across the North West for over 15 years. We are currently partnering with a high-performing secondary school in Chadderton, Oldham, which is seeking a passionate Business Teacher to join their Department.
This role is available ASAP end of the academic year, with the potential for a long-term placement. It is also open to candidates seeking temporary supply work until a permanent appointment is made.
Role Overview
As a Business Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and practical lessons, contributing to the school’s academic excellence and co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Business lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment with strong classroom management.
- Provide support to learners and fellow staff members within the department.
- Plan and prepare lesson materials, ensuring they meet the required standards.
- Set up and manage classroom equipment and resources efficiently.
- Take an active role in demonstrations and classroom activities.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Work flexibly and be available at short notice if required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Educated to A-Level or Degree level (preferred).
- A valid DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references.
- The right to work in the UK.
- A full ten-year employment history with explanations for any gaps.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students.
- Experience managing large groups, including students with challenging behaviour.
