Choice Teachers are looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Art to join a successful secondary school in Orpington. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated teacher to deliver engaging lessons and make a lasting impact on students across all key stages.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Art Teacher who can teach across KS3 to KS5. Experience with Design Technology (Product Design) would be an advantage, but it is not essential. The role is open to both ECTs and experienced teachers, and part-time working will be considered.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Art lessons across KS3–KS5.

Develop engaging and creative learning materials to inspire students.

Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively.

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.

Support the wider curriculum and contribute to departmental planning.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure progress and wellbeing.
Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Degree in Art, Design, or a related subject.

Experience teaching Art at secondary school level (KS3–KS4 required, KS5 desirable).

Excellent subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching.

Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
